Role Summary
The DevOps Platform Engineer will build and maintain production-grade containerized applications, implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and automate workflows in cloud and multi-cloud environments. This role focuses on improving software development efficiency and ensuring secure, scalable deployment pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and deploy containerized applications with Kubernetes
Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or CodeStar
Manage multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle)
Apply Cloud or Network Security best practices (IAM, RBAC, secrets management)
Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation
Troubleshoot platform deployments and configurations in AF/DoD environments
Obtain DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+) within 60 days of start
Required Qualifications
5+ years in maintaining and deploying production-grade containerized applications via Kubernetes
3+ years in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle)
3+ years in CI/CD and developer workflow automation
3+ years with Docker and Helm
3+ years with Cloud/Network Security (least privilege, IAM, RBAC)
3+ years using IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation)
Troubleshooting experience in AF/DoD environments
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Service Meshes (Istio, AWS App Mesh)
Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Keycloak
Experience with hardened AMIs/Containers (DoD STIGs, CIS Benchmarks)
Experience with APM tools (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk)
Experience in Rancher services (RKE2)
Knowledge of Identity Authentication/Authorization (SSO, SAML, OpenID)
Experience with Active Directory and GPO management
Associate-level Cloud certifications or AWS Developer Associate Certification
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $61,900 – $141,000 annually
