THE OPPORTUNITY: Upon award, BTAS will be filling potential openings for the Space Systems Command (SSC). SSC plays a critical role in advancing the United States's space capabilities, delivering cutting-edge solutions to protect and enhance national security. SSC/SZBC specializes in highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to support the Department of Defense's (DoD) current and future operational needs. As a leader in space technology, SSC/SZ-BC is responsible for the development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems spanning the entire acquisition life cycle. These efforts ensure the United States Space Force (USSF) and its mission partners maintain a strategic advantage in space operations. This position will support multiple SSC/SZ-BC programs, as well as other initiatives across the Space Force, Air Force, and allied organizations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate and Maintain Secure Facilities - Manage an accredited Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) or Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) for government and contractor use. - Maintain IT infrastructure, workspaces, desks, offices, and networks as specified in the task order. - Ensure direct connection to multi-level data services, including the Unified Data Library and National Space Defense Center. - Provide IT support, including fail-safes, software updates, and hardware maintenance across unclassified and classified networks (UNCLASS - SAP).
- Facility Operations and Management - Assume the lease and operational responsibility for an accredited SCIF/SAPF. - Oversee facility maintenance, including utilities, landscaping, janitorial services, water services, and visitor badge management.
- Digital Engineering Support - Advise and assist with digital engineering initiatives for acquisition, sustainment, and launch. - Analyze the current digital landscape, identify gaps, and develop an inventory of tasks to support Space Systems Command (SSC) and U.S. Space Force (USSF) objectives. - Develop an integrated digital roadmap with measurable milestones for digital acquisition and engineering. - Support the implementation of digital acquisition and engineering methodologies and tools for SSC programs. - Provide expertise in solution evaluation, program management, digital and data strategy, roadmap design, and change management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly experienced in performing acquisition management activities related to facility operation and accreditation on SCIF/SAPF, review, and compliance in the government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit/non-profit government support/development Contractor arena, of which six years shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of the Department of Defense.
- At least 10 years' experience in this type of position or program is required.
- PMP certified preferred.
- MA/MS degree required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not supervise the work of others.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.
TRAVEL: Little if any travel is required.

COMPENSATION / SALARY RANGE: BTAS adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc. SALARY RANGE: $87,000 - $138,000 Annual Salary
