Role Summary
The Network Engineer will support the customer's data communications network, including design, installation, testing, and maintenance of network infrastructure and equipment. This position focuses on mission-critical environments in the Intelligence Community and includes both on-premises and cloud (AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle) networking.
Key Responsibilities
Design, install, configure, test, and maintain network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches)
Perform routing network maintenance, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Install and maintain network cabling systems
Monitor network availability and resolve infrastructure issues
Implement and manage network upgrades and automation using DevOps concepts
Hands-on management of LANs, VLANs, SD-WAN, VRFs, and enterprise networks
Implement and troubleshoot network protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, multicast
Manage circuits: LTE, Broadband, T1-100Gb Ethernet, etc.
Apply network security techniques (firewalls, VLANs, port security)
Create weekly activity reports and document network configurations
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Qualifications
TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
Bachelor's degree in IT or related field (Master's with 5 years experience, or Associates with 8 years experience acceptable)
CCNA or CCNP certification
Azure network expertise (hub/spoke topology, VNets, route tables, NSGs, peering, route propagation)
Direct experience with AWS, Google, or Oracle cloud networking
Familiarity with Azure premium firewall policies
Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, or similar network equipment
Experience with network management systems like Cisco ISE and Junos Space
Network automation experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform
Knowledge of network security and perimeter security best practices
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience
Experience with Insider Threat programs
Familiarity with DevOps concepts applied to networking

Salary: $103,800 – $218,100 annually
