THE OPPORTUNITY: Upon award, BTAS will fill potential openings for the Space Systems Command (SSC). SSC plays a critical role in advancing the United States's space capabilities, delivering cutting-edge solutions to protect and enhance national security. SSC/SZBC specializes in highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to support the Department of Defense's (DoD) current and future operational needs. As a leader in space technology, SSC/SZ-BC is responsible for the development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems spanning the entire acquisition life cycle. These efforts ensure the United States Space Force (USSF), and its mission partners maintain a strategic advantage in space operations. This position will support multiple SSC/SZ-BC programs, as well as other initiatives across the Space Force, Air Force, and allied organizations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide executive-level personnel and human resources management, including conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, coordinating personnel and appraisal records, and coordinating staff activities.
- Assist with Government civilian record keeping and serve as the primary contact for unit civilian human resource management, providing expertise and guidance on civilian procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist with identifying current and future vacant positions, creating requisitions, completing Request for Personnel Actions, security waivers, Core Personnel Documents, and updating Manpower Change Requests.
- Support special civilian manpower requests such as Reimbursable, Superior Qualification Packages, By-Name-Requests, and Position Designations.
- Assist with the submission and processing of military and civilian awards and decorations, monitoring timelines, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting with award packages.
- Quality check all award packages for compliance with regulations and monitor award package processing until presentation.
- Assist with the awards board process, including voting rounds, consolidating votes, and presenting results.
- Develop and maintain schedules using Microsoft Suite applications such as Microsoft Project.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a BA/BS degree and 15 years' experience performing civilian and military personnel management and administrative operations support activities, including Civilian Human Resource Management, Military & Civilian Manpower Management, and Information Management/Operations Support within the government (military and/or civil servant); federally funded research and development center, or profit/non-profit government support/development contractor arena. Five years of this experience shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of Air Force programs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Some coordination of staff activities may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.
TRAVEL: Little to no travel is required.

COMPENSATION / SALARY RANGE: BTAS adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc. SALARY RANGE: $52,000-$151,000 Annual Salary
